3 or more students, the cost is $ 50.00 for a 90 minute lesson. The lessons are paid by the session to reserve your spot, sessions usually run between 6-8 weeks.
During each lesson students will learn to groom and tack up their own horse or pony, as well as riding.
Our program has been going strong for over 25 years. we teach a balanced seat riding which would accommodate any discipline as a basis.
We talk about our goals as riders and our goals in general for being successful in whatever we try to accomplish. Everyone works at their own pace. We do not except students to all learn at the same pace or in the same manner.
Booth Hill Farm does offer a small private horse show here at the end of each session. There is no pressure to compete, some students choose to participate and others do not. The show is very informal, it gives students a chance to show their families or friends what they have been working on during the session.
The students learn to work in hand with the horses in addition to mounted work. Understanding and communicating with the animal from the ground up is important as well. We teach respect for all the animals and people at the farm.
We work on listening skills and communication with the instructors. As safety is our main concern it is important each student understand the reason for listening and responding to what we are teaching, in order to be able to participate in our group lessons.
- All Lessons are by appointment only
- Proper fitting riding attire is required for all students.
